About this file
Valentines for the whole class, in one 9-page file with a contents page first. Every card has a pun and a cute critter or snack: a dinosaur (you’re dino-mite), an owl, a melon, an acorn, a bee, a rock, a whale, a planet, two pears, a cat, a donut, a frog, corn, a bunny, a lemon, lettuce, a cupcake, grapes, an orange, a cookie, popcorn, a bear, a star and a turtle.
Cards in color (pages 2–4): 24 cards, eight to a sheet, each 3.7 × 2.4 in (94 × 61 mm), with the pun in bright type and Happy Valentine’s Day. Cards to color in (pages 5–7): the same 24 cards as clean line art, for kids who like to make their own. To and From backs (page 8): print on the back of any card sheet, flipping on the long edge. Class list (page 9): 32 numbered lines, each with a box to tick when the card is done.
The look is bright and kawaii: round critters with dot eyes and pink cheeks, a band of little hearts and puns in pink, red, blue, orange, purple and green. Card stock (65–80 lb) makes sturdier cards.
You get two print-ready PDFs of 9 pages each, one for US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) and one for A4 (210 × 297 mm), plus the font license. Set in Fredoka for the puns and titles and Figtree for the small labels.
How to print: open the PDF and print at 100% (“Actual size”), not “Fit to page,” so the cards keep their sizes. Use the Letter file for US Letter paper and the A4 file for A4. Everything sits at least 0.4 in (10 mm) inside the edge, large areas are pale tints, and the fullest page puts ink on about 5% of the sheet, so it is light on a home inkjet. Print only the pages you need, as many times as you like; cut along the solid lines.
