About this file
Everything to dress a Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving table, in one 11-page file with a contents page first. Cards and pages are grouped by part, so you can print as many of each as your table needs.
Menu cards (pages 2–4): a printed Thanksgiving menu (butternut squash soup, roast turkey with herb butter, six sides, three desserts and drinks), a fill-in Thanksgiving menu and a fill-in Friendsgiving menu. Each is 3.7 × 9 in (94 × 229 mm), two to a sheet; that width lets two fit inside a home printer’s margins on both paper sizes. Tent place cards (pages 5–6): eight designs (maple, pumpkin, lattice pie, wheat, oak, acorns, turkey and a slice of pie), four to a sheet, 3.5 × 4 in flat and 3.5 × 2 in (89 × 51 mm) folded, with a name line on the front and “I’m thankful for” lines on the back, printed upside down so they read the right way from across the table.
Potluck sign-up (page 7): date, time, host and address, then rows for mains, sides, desserts, drinks and paper goods, with columns for the dish, the name, how many it serves and notes such as gluten-free. Thankful cards and leaves (pages 8–9): six “I’m thankful for” cards, 3.5 × 2.5 in (89 × 64 mm), and six leaves to cut out, about 2.1 × 3.8 in (54 × 96 mm), in tomato, butter and sage tints for a gratitude tree or garland. Kids’ placemats (pages 10–11): a feast to color, with a turkey, a pie, pumpkins, leaves, wheat and an acorn, and three tic-tac-toe boards; then a word scramble (answers upside down at the foot), a word maker for THANKSGIVING and a plate to draw dinner on.
The look is Table Dressing: a butter-yellow gingham tablecloth edge with a ruffled hem, with harvest motifs in butter yellow, tomato and sage on washed-linen tints. Card stock (65–80 lb) suits the menus and place cards; plain paper suits the rest.
You get two print-ready PDFs of 11 pages each, one for US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) and one for A4 (210 × 297 mm), plus the font license. Set in Fraunces for the titles and Figtree for everything else.
How to print: open the PDF and print at 100% (“Actual size”), not “Fit to page,” so the cards keep their sizes. Use the Letter file for US Letter paper and the A4 file for A4. Everything sits at least 0.4 in (10 mm) inside the edge, large areas are pale tints, and the fullest page puts ink on about 8% of the sheet, so it is light on a home inkjet. Print only the pages you need, as many times as you like; cut along the solid lines.
