Twelve colour grades with a Japanese mood, in two sets of six. Tokyo Nights is for after dark: neon streets, blue hour, rain and the last train. Showa Days is for warm, faded daylight: afternoon prints, coffee-house amber, snow, spring overcast and a sepia monochrome.

Each look keeps skin tones believable, keeps the neutral grey axis in order from black to white, and rolls colours off gently instead of clipping them, so highlights and deep shadows hold their detail. Blacks lift by no more than a few percent, even on the faded looks.

What you get: 12 .cube files (33-point 3D LUTs, Rec.709 in and out) and a README with a one-line description of each look. The previews show every LUT on the same five 3D test scenes (a night street, a café counter, a summer lane, a snowy morning and a window-lit table with a colour chart and skin-tone card), split original and graded.

How to use: most video and photo editors load .cube files from their colour or LUT panel. Correct exposure and white balance first, then add the look on the clip or an adjustment layer. Footage from every camera reacts a little differently, so try each look at 50 to 100 percent strength on your own shots and keep what suits them. Log footage needs converting to Rec.709 before the look goes on.
