In Japan, stations, temples and sights keep rubber stamps for travellers to collect, and stamp rallies send you round a set of them. This log is made for collecting them anywhere. Each of its 48 stamp pages holds one large dashed frame (about 92 mm square on A6 and 61 mm on M6) numbered 01 to 48, with lines for the station or spot, the date and the line, and on A6 who you travelled with; on M6 a few lines for notes sit between the frame and the fields.

At the front, a title page with lines for your name and contact and a two-page stamp index, numbered to match the frames. At the back, six trip pages (destination, dates, who you went with, route and the highlights) and seven pages of 5 mm dots for map notes and sketches.

Every file comes in English and in English with Japanese: in the en-ja files each label carries its Japanese beside the English, set smaller and lighter (MON 月, Notes メモ). Set in Instrument Serif and Instrument Sans, with Noto Sans JP and Shippori Mincho for the Japanese, in a deep indigo ink (never black) with hairline rules in pale indigo, and finished with a small seasonal sprig on the cover.

You get 8 PDFs, one for each language and size and each sheet layout, plus a one-page how-to-print guide and the font licence. Sizes: A6 105 × 148 mm (4.13 × 5.83 in) and mini 6 80 × 126 mm (3.15 × 4.96 in); each PDF page is one planner page at its finished size. Page counts are the same in both sizes and both languages: 64 pages. The mini 6 pages also come laid out on A4 and on US Letter sheets (4 to a side), with crop marks, in cut-and-stack order and ready to print double-sided: print, cut the stack along the marks, and pile the stacks in order.

How to print: print at Actual size (100 %) on A4 or US Letter, one page to a sheet, and trim; the guide gives the trim distances for both papers, and how to use the sheet files. Spreads always begin on an even page, so pages printed double-sided and stacked in order open as spreads. The pages are light on ink: fine pale lines and small accents. For ring binders, punch along the 12 mm strip kept clear on the binding edge; the guide shows the typical hole positions.
