About this file
Fifty interface sounds, each made in five styles, and every style uses exactly the same fifty file names. Write your code against one folder, and to give the whole app or game a different sound, change that one folder name: tap.ogg in the crystal folder is the crystal tap, and so on for all fifty.
The five styles:
- Cozy wood: warm marimba-like bars, small woodblock clicks, paper swishes and kalimba-like chords, for cosy games and calm apps
- Heisei keypad: the feel of a late-90s and 2000s Japanese flip phone or handheld, with buzzer-style beeps, plastic key clicks, stepped runs and a ringtone-like voice for alerts. Original sounds; none copies a real device
- Crystal: a glass tap. Struck glass with bright, glassy overtones, short and nearly dry, for crisp, clean interfaces
- Anime sparkle: celesta-like bells in a bright Lydian key, with quick flourishes into held notes, bell-tree runs, a shimmer on alerts, and rising figures on every bit of good news
- Minimal: near-pure tones and soft clicks, short and almost dry, for tools people use all day
The fifty events: tap, select, hover, back, next, tab-switch, scroll-tick, swipe, open, close, expand, collapse; toggle-on, toggle-off, check, uncheck, slider-tick, typing, backspace, pick-up, drop, refresh; confirm, cancel, send, delete, undo, save, download-done, camera-shutter, message-out, denied, like, unlock, lock, connect, disconnect; success, error, warning, notify, message-in, mention, reminder, alert; startup, shutdown, coin, level-up and achievement.
Loudness is matched by event type across all five styles, so a swap never makes the interface louder or quieter: touch sounds such as typing and hover at -30 LUFS, taps and toggles at -26, actions at -23, alerts at -21 and moments such as level-up at -20 (maximum momentary loudness). Every file starts on its first sample, ends in true silence and peaks below -1 dBFS.
You get five zips, one per style, 500 files in all: each sound as a WAV (48 kHz, 24-bit, mono) and an Ogg Vorbis file with the same name. Unzipped together they merge into one tidy folder tree. A README explains the layout, and a cue sheet (CSV) lists every event with its type, loudness and length in each style. Touch and tap sounds last 0.03 to 0.57 seconds, actions up to 0.7, alerts up to 1.3 and moments up to 1.5, including their natural ring-out.
Use them in apps, websites, games and prototypes: they load into any game engine, web audio player, app framework or editor that reads WAV or OGG.
