Eighty comedy sound effects in a bright cartoon and anime style, for the beats that land a joke: the spring when someone bounces off a wall, the bonk on the head, the sweat drop when it all goes wrong, the zoom as the camera snaps to a face. There are no voices anywhere in the pack, so the sounds sit under any language and any character.

• Bonks and hits (8), including a frying-pan-style clang, a paper-fan slap and a squeaky toy hammer
• Zoom, dash and spin swishes (8), skids and stops (3) and falls (4)
• Reaction stings (15): shock, gasp, dramatic, a sad trombone-style fall, ta-da, idea, question, blush, anger, close-up, defeat, victory, rimshot, suspense and awkward crickets
• Toys (6) and little movement sounds (6): tiptoes, sneaking, scurrying feet, a jelly wobble, a splat and dizzy tweets

Every sound comes twice, as a WAV (48 kHz, 24-bit, mono) and as an Ogg Vorbis file with the same name, in two zips that unpack side by side into anime-comedy-sfx/wav/ and anime-comedy-sfx/ogg/. Names start with their category (boing-, bonk-, sting- and so on), so they sort into groups. Hits and pops last a tenth of a second or so, most effects under a second, and the stings and falls up to about two and a half seconds; 84 seconds of sound in all. A README lists every file with its length and a short description.

Each file starts on its first sample, fades out to true silence and peaks below -1 dBFS (true peak). Everything is levelled to sit together (maximum momentary loudness -18 LUFS), so sounds drop onto a timeline without riding the fader; a few of the shortest, sharpest hits sit up to about 3.5 dB quieter, so their attack is never squashed to reach a number.

Use them for reaction edits, anime-style shorts and reels, cartoons and animatics, comedy and party games, and stream alerts. They load into any video editor, audio editor, game engine or streaming tool that reads WAV or Ogg.
