Bring your own AI agent
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP app to your store account. It can find things that fit what you're making, fetch the files you own, and hand you a list to review. It can never pay: you do that, in Paddle's checkout.
Connect your agent
The store is an MCP server at https://store.kadal.cc/mcp. Add it to your app, sign in to the store when it asks, and choose what to allow. Nothing to install and no key to copy.
Claude (claude.ai and the desktop app)
Open Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, paste the address and connect. A store page opens: sign in and press Allow.
https://store.kadal.cc/mcpClaude Code
claude mcp add --transport http kadal-store https://store.kadal.cc/mcpThen run /mcp in Claude Code and pick kadal-store to sign in.
ChatGPT
In Settings → Apps & Connectors, turn on developer mode under Advanced, then create a connector with the address above and OAuth as the sign-in. ChatGPT opens the store's sign-in the first time you use it.
Cursor and VS Code
Cursor: add it to ~/.cursor/mcp.json.

"kadal-store": { "url": "https://store.kadal.cc/mcp" }
}
}VS Code: add it to .vscode/mcp.json, then start it from the file.

}Codex, and apps that only run local servers
Use the CLI below as a local MCP server. Sign in once, then point the app at kadal-store mcp. In Codex, that is ~/.codex/config.toml:
[mcp_servers.kadal-store]
command = "npx"
args = ["-y", "@kadal/store", "mcp"]The command line
The Kadal Store CLI does the same from a terminal, and keeps a folder in step with your library.
npx -y @kadal/store login # opens the store to sign in, once
kadal-store search "2027 planner" --format pdf
kadal-store recommend --from . # sends a summary of this project, never its files
kadal-store library
kadal-store sync ./assets # every file you own, skipping what is already there
kadal-store buy <slug> --open # opens the review page; you pay there
kadal-store mcp # the same tools, for apps that run local serversAdd --json to any command for output a script can read.
What it can and can't do
It can
- Search the shop and recommend things for the work in front of it.
- Read your library and download your files, with links that last ten minutes.
- Build a list for you to review and pay for.
- Report a mistake in a product, if you allow it.
It can't
- Pay for anything. Every purchase is yours to make, in Paddle's checkout.
- See your card, your password or your sign-in.
- Change your account, or share your files with anyone else.
Disconnect any app in Settings → Connected apps. A connection you stop using ends after 30 days, and every connection asks again after 90.
Things to ask
- Find a 2027 planner that matches my Notion setup: weekly, A5, minimal, Monday start.
- Download everything I own into ./assets.
- I'm making a cosy farming game in Godot. What 3D models and sounds would fit, under $20 each?
- I've bought a few of the botanical patterns. Is there a pack that finishes the set?
- Page 3 of my March planner has the wrong date. Report it.
The tools
For anyone wiring it up by hand. Money is in US cents, and every result carries the same data as JSON and as text.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
whoami | Which account the agent is using, and what it may do. |
list_shelves | The shelves, how much is on each, and how each is licensed. |
search_products | Search by words and filters: shelf, style, topic, format, price. |
get_product | One product's files, editions, licences, pack contents and updates. |
recommend | Picks for the work you describe, each with a reason, and packs worth a look. |
list_library | Everything you own, with each file's size and checksum. |
get_download_links | Ten-minute download links for your files, or one zip. |
create_buy_link | A review page for a list of items. You pay there, or not at all. |
report_problem | Tell Kadal about a mistake in a product, or ask a question. |
list_my_notes | Your reports and Kadal's replies. |
Permissions: store:read for everything above but reporting, which needs store:write. The address for OAuth discovery is https://store.kadal.cc/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource.
What the store keeps
For each connection: the app's name, where its access goes, what you allowed, and when. Downloads are logged as they are from your library. The words an agent sends to recommend are used for that one answer and not kept. More in the privacy policy.
