Page one is the morning: eight numbered cards in pastel colours, each with a small picture, the step in large letters and a tick box 12.5 mm (half an inch) square: wake up, make my bed, brush my teeth, get dressed, eat breakfast, brush my hair, pack my bag, shoes on. Page two does the same for the evening: homework, tidy up, bath time, pyjamas on, brush my teeth, read a story, lay out clothes, lights out.

The pictures are drawn as one matching set (an alarm clock, a bed, a toothbrush, a dress, a cereal bowl, a hairbrush with a bow, a backpack, trainers, a notebook and pencil, a toy box, a bubble bath with a duck, pyjamas, a storybook, folded clothes and a sleepy moon), so children who are not reading yet can follow along on their own.

Page three is a weekly star chart: the morning and evening routines plus six blank rows for anything else your daughter is working on, across Monday to Sunday, with a star to colour in each day. Under it are a "stars this week" box out of 56 and two lines for what she gets when the chart is full.

Laminate the routines and use a dry-wipe pen, or print fresh copies each week. A name line sits at the top of every page. Undated.

You get two print-ready PDFs, one for A4 (210 x 297 mm) and one for US Letter (8.5 x 11 in), 3 pages in each file, plus the font licence. Set in Fredoka (titles) and Nunito (labels), with soft purple-grey outlines and pastel pink, lavender, mint, sky, butter and peach. Part of the Daydream family.

How to print: open the PDF and print at 100% ("Actual size"), not "Fit to page". Choose the A4 file for A4 paper and the Letter file for US Letter. Everything sits at least 10 mm inside the edge, so a home inkjet prints the whole page. Plain copier paper works; thin card lasts longer on a fridge or a classroom wall.
